In 2016 we are entering the 30th year of our event! This year's run will take place in the Ormeau park on Sunday 22nd May at 3 pm.
Last year we introduced chip timing and an accurately measured 10 km course. Due to the success of the introduction of the chip timing we will be bring it back in 2016 for the 10 km event. We will also be replacing our 3 km event with a new 5 km run.
Thank you to all who came to the 2015 event! We hope to see you at this year's run.
The Belfast One World Run, from its inception, has focused on being a cross community event aimed at assisting those in developing countries, enabling them to have a better quality of life.
Please join us this year and help raise money for our four benefiting agencies: Oxfam, Trócaire, Christian Aid, Concern.
You can register and buy BOWR T-shirts online by following the link below.
It will soon also be possible to download and print the registration form and send it along with the entry free to the address stated on the form.
Finally, entries will be accepted on the day of the run between 1:30 pm and 3 pm. The registration table will be set up in the indoor tennis arena at the Ozone Leisure Complex.
No Mean Feet
To help support us further, please consider purchasing No Mean Feet, a song that was recorded in 2014 by the One World Run Band (Maurice Macartney & Wilson Magwere) in support of our event.
The No Mean Feet EP is available to purchase as a download and a limited edition CD via Bandcamp. It is also possible to download tracks individually. Once again, all proceeds from the sale of the downloads and CDs will be distributed equally between the four benefiting agencies. So please give generously!
